About the Workshop

The goal of this EICS 2015 Workshop on Cross-Device User Interfaces (XDUI 2015) is to bring together leading and upcoming systems researchers in the area of cross-device interfaces and define a research agenda together. XDUI 2015 aims not only to be useful for the EICS research community, but for the wider HCI community, where many recent cross-device systems and tools have been developed and investigated almost in parallel without learning from and building on each other.

The workshop targets both new and established researchers in the area. New researchers will quickly get an overview of the state of the art, while established researchers can draw more detailed comparisons between their solutions and discuss benefits and limitations.

This workshop will provide a unique opportunity to exchange implementation experiencesdiscuss technical concerns of existing solutions, sketch the design space of possible cross-device interfaces and discuss open issues as well as important future research directions.
